Georgian regions of Samtskhe-Javakhetia that are populated by Armenians will receive electric energy from Armenia. The treaty on this was signed recently by the boards of “Armenergo” enterprise and “Electrosvet-Ninotsminda” company. The connection between the energy systems of the two countries will be provided through Ashotsk- Ninotsminda high-voltage electricity transmission line. It will let the region to receive 150 thousand kilovolt electric power per hour. This will allow supplying electricity to houses in Ninotsminda, Akhalkalaki and Aspindza regions around the clock. As it is known, a system of fan disconnection of electricity is put into practice throughout Georgia and people have electricity at home only a few hours a day.
