According to “Wall Street Journal” assessment, Armenia is the only CIS country with “genuine free economy.” Experts of this influential edition arrived at such a conclusion after the research held. Armenia takes the 45-th place in the world on the level of freedom of economy. Georgia occupies the 108-th place and Azerbaijan is the 118-th. They are both estimated as countries with “not free economy.” “Wall Street Journal” experts note favorable conditions for investments are created in Armenia, and state control in the economic sphere is reduced to minimum. At the same time the authors of the research noted corruption was developed in Armenia, there was a large shadow market, rigid administrative requirements to entrepreneurs and investors were not protected.
