2009 World Championships silver winner and 2008 Olympic Games bronze winner, Armenia’s Tigran Martirosyan (w/c up to 77kg) has won the champion’s title at 2010 European Weightlifting Championships, lifting 360 kg in snatch, clean & jerk combination and surpassing his nearest competitor by 9 kg.
Lifting 165kg and 195kg in snatch and clean & jerk respectively, Martirosyan won gold in each category.
Poland’s Krzysztof Szramiak came second, followed by Belarus’ Nikolai Chernyak.
Meline Daluzyan (w/c 69kg) as well as Ara Khachatryan and Gevorg Poghosyan (w/c up to 85 kg) will enter competition on April 9.
