At present the schedule of the coming visit of Iranian president Mohammad Khatami to Armenia is being fixed through diplomatic channels. Iranian ambassador to Armenia Mohammad Farhad Koleyni told “Arminfo” agency. In his words, the present visit will serve as a new stimulus for the development of bilateral links. The diplomat also emphasized the importance of activation of cooperation between Iran and the European Union. In his opinion Armenia can play a significant role in the case of conciliation of these relations. The formation of such relations will have its positive influence upon the peace establishment in the South Caucasian region, the diplomat considers.
