The state of health of Azeri president Heydar Aliyev is not the only reason for the delay of the OSCE Minks Group co-chairmen’s visit to Nagorno Karabakh conflict region, planned for May, 2003. Russian co-chairman of Minsk Group Nikolay Gribkov stated. In his words, the mediators fix the terms of their coming visit to the conflict region at present. Touching on the meetings of Armenian and Azeri foreign ministers held in Madrid last week, N. Gribkov only called them “positive and constructive”. “Unfortunately I cannot tell more taking into consideration the confidentiality of the negotiation process”, – the Russian diplomat said. It should be noted that according to the Azeri sources, Azeri foreign minister Vilayat Guliyev stated that the co-chairmen’s “new models” concerning the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement are “worth discussing”.
