RESOLUTION ON ARMENIAN GENOCIDE RECOGNITION TO BE BROUGHT FOR US SENATE DISCUSSION THIS WEEK

This week senators John Ensign and Jon Corzine intend to bring up for the US Senate discussion the resolution on the issues of mass crime against humanity, in which Armenian Genocide of 1915 in Ottoman Turkey is recognized as well. As reported by the Armenian Assembly of America, the Armenian Genocide is particularly mentioned in the document as an example of inhuman attitude of one nation toward another. The document also maintains appeal to the US to draw the moral from the previous genocides and to prevent their reiteration in future. It should be noted that the present resolution has been recently approved by the Justice Committee of the US House of Representatives.
