The information board of the Russian President has confirmed the reports from Abkhazia that a group of Chechen soldiers and fighters of Georgian military formations had tried to occupy and fortify their positions in Georgiyevskoye village, where Armenians mainly lived. As reported by “Arminfo” agency making reference to reports in Russian mass media, the soldiers left the village this morning and presumably set out to the north, towards the Russian frontier.
