GEORGIAN LEGISLATORS DO NOT WANT ARMENIA TO CLEAR DEBTS TO RUSSIA BY MEANS OF ENTERPRISES’ SHARES

“Georgia and Armenia should not clear debts to Russia by means of shares of their enterprises,” – Manager of Budget Committee of the Georgian Parliament Roman Gotsiridze stated. Let us remind that the question of the Armenian debt to Russia will be considered September 16 – within the framework of the visit of President of the Russian Federation Valdimir Putin to Yerevan. In Roman Gotsiridze’s words, international organizations should advise Yerevan to refrain from paying the debt to Russia by means of shares of its enterprises, as in that case Moscow will become owner of strategic objects of Armenia, including those in the energetic sector. As reported by CNA agency, the debt of Georgia to Russia makes 158 million dollars.
