POLAND IS INTERESTED IN STABILITY IN THE SOUTHERN CAUCASUS

Poland highly appreciates external political achievements of Armenia, meaning its membership in the Council of Europe and intention to enter the World Trade Organization. Temporary Attorney of Poland in Armenia Peter Ivashkevich stated this in an interview to “Arka” agency. In his words, Poland is interested in common security in the Southern Caucasian region as the conflicts hinder making big capital investments by external investors, including Polish ones. “Armenia is a very important factor for us in this concern,” – P.Ivashkevich stated. He noted that the relations between the two countries are at the initial stage of forming the dialogue. “I hope that the visit of the President of Poland to Armenia in November, 2000 will become a huge stimulus for beginning close cooperation,” – P.Ivashkevich said.
