After the unanimous approval of the 193rd resolution on genocide by the US House of Representatives Justice Committee, the Committee leadership published an announcement appealing to the whole Senate to adopt the present resolution. According to the report of the Armenian National Committee of America, the Justice Committee announcement maintains information concerning mass crime committed in the 20-th century and particularly regarding the Armenian Genocide in 1915 in Ottoman Turkey, Holocaust as well as genocide in Namibia, Burundi, Cambodia, Sudan, Rwanda and Bosnia.
