Midtjylland missed the chance to substantially close the gap on runaway SAS-Ligaen leaders Copenhagen after being held to a 1-1 draw at Randers on Monday, October 18.
The hosts took the lead through Yura Movsisyan's eighth-minute penalty but Mikkel Thygesen equalized for Midtjylland after 52 minutes.
The point means Midtjylland remain in second place, 12 points behind the leaders, while Randers move out of the relegation zone after edging ahead of Esbjerg on goal difference, FIFA said on its website.
