A PART OF THE RUSSIAN MILITARY BASE PERSONNEL IN VASIANI WILL BE MOVED TO ARMENIA

. Russian military base in Vasiani will be passed to the Georgian side in June 20 and military aerodrome of this base in June 25. The personnel of the base will be redistributed to the other bases of Russian Military Group in South Caucasus in Georgia and Armenia and a part of this will be redistributed to Russia. According to the agreement, achieved in 1999 at the OSCE summit in Istanbul, the Russian base must be closed till July 1 of this year. According to the “Arka” agency, the last echelon of the military equipment, medical apparatus and property were sent from that base in April 23.
