World Youth Weightlifting Championships kicked off on May 10 in Lima, Peru, where Zhorzh Yeghikyan (56 kg) was the first Armenian to enter the competition.
He failed to lift 95kg in snatch and managed to successfully use only one attempt in clean & jerk, lifting 112kg and finishing tenth.
On May 11, Armenia’s Andranik Karapetyan (62kg) will enter the competition.
