Russia's only current reigning boxing champion Dmitry Pirog has said he wants to defend his WBO middleweight title against his compatriot Gennady Martirosyan of Armenian descent.
The bout venue may be either Russia or the United States. Pirog said it’s up to Martirosyan to decide.
In his last fight, Martirosyan stopped Valentin Ochoa of Argentina by a TKO in round 6.
