05.10.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Turkey has stopped issuing band visas to Armenian citizens at its order gates, the Turkish Foreign Ministry reported.
A statement from the Foreign Ministry said that Turkey has been issuing band visas to Armenian citizens at Turkish border gates since August 15, 2000.
The statement said that Armenian citizens will no longer be given band visas at the border gates and Armenian citizens can get entrance and transit visas only at Turkish embassies in foreign countries. It is noteworthy that there is no Turkish Embassy in Yerevan as the two states have no diplomatic relations. -0–
