RUSSIA AND ARMENIA WILL COOPERATE CLOSELY IN SECURITY SPHERE

Wide range of questions on interaction between the two countries in various fields were discussed today in Kremlin at the negotiations between the President of Armenia Robert Kocharian and RF Security Council secretary Sergey Ivanov, the special correspondent of MEDIAMAX reports from Moscow.
Cooperation between military-trade complexes of Russia and Armenia, problems of providing security in Transcaucasus, as well as perspectives of Russian-Armenian interaction within the framework of Collective Security Agreement were the highlights of the meeting.
After the negotiations, RF Security Council secretary Sergey Ivanov said that Russia and Armenia are tied not only by history and fate, but also by economic relations, common interests and problems in security area. “Russia and Armenia will continue their cooperation in all the directions of foreign policy”, stressed Sergey Ivanov.
Tomorrow the President of Armenia will meet with the Russian president Vladimir Putin. -0-
