“THE AMERICAN RESPONSE TO THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE” CONFERENCE WILL BE HELD IN U.S. CONGRESS LIBRARY ON SEPTEMBER 27

08.09.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Co-sponsored by the Library of Congress and the Armenian National Institute (ANI) in cooperation with the US Holocaust Memorial Museum, the conference, entitled “The American Response to the Armenian Genocide” will take place September 27 and 28 in Washington.
International and American academics will take part in the conference to examine together, for the first time, the American response to the first genocide of this century, was reported to MEDIAMAX in ANI. Churchill biographer Sir Martin Gilbert and the well-known First World War historian Jay Winter will join more than a dozen American experts to discuss the significant American response to the Armenian Genocide of 1915. Approximately 200 historians, genocide specialists, expert commentators and other invited guests are expected to attend the two-day conference. -0-
