COOPERATION BETWEEN RUSSIAN AND ARMENIAN CAPITALS DISCUSSED IN MOSCOW

Issues of interaction between the Russian and Armenian capitals were discussed by deputy mayor in the Moscow government Vladimir Resin and chief of the social security department of Yerevan city hall Ruzanna Zakarian. As reported by “Novosti” Russian agency, she is in Moscow on Resin’s invitation within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement concluded by the administrations of the two cities. As reported by R. Zakarian, in the course of her stay in Moscow she “outlined common ground for interaction,” so “there is material for the Yerevan administration to discuss.” The department head emphasized the matter concerned not only social security problems, but also other issues “of mutual interest.” “We have much to learn from Moscow,” – she said. In the course of the conversation Resin was also interested in the operation of Slavonic University, Russian-language schools in Yerevan.
