US ambassador to Baku Reno Harnish assures he does not possess data on talks over placing American military bases or rapid deployment forces in the territory of Azerbaijan, “Novosti” Russian agency reported. In an interview with “ANS” Baku TV channel the ambassador noted that to strengthen the struggle against threats of terrorism, spreading mass extermination weapons, missile and nuclear technologies Washington decided to make changes in the strategy of location of troops in various points in the world. However, he noted, the final decision on precise stationing of the US troops is not passed yet. The decision, in the ambassador’s words, will be based on consensus reached with individual countries, in whose territories US troops are expected to be located. Harnish emphasized that the cooperation between Azerbaijan and the US is not directed against any third countries.
