The Parliament of Turkey yesterday passed a decision condemning the recognition of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire by the National Council of Switzerland. According to the statement of the Turkish deputies, the decision by the Swiss Parliament is based on inappropriate statements and unreliable information and will not promote efforts of reaching peace and stability in such a sensitive region, specifically, between the Turkish and Armenian peoples.
