ARMENIAN PRESIDENT AWARDED HIGHEST ORDER OF INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIC COMMITTEE

By the decision of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for considerable contribution to the international Olympic movement Armenian President Robert Kocharian is conferred the highest award of the organization – the IOC Honorary Order. Deputy chairman of the International Olympic Committee Vitaly Smirnov handed the award to the President in Yerevan today. He noted that the award is presented to those figures, who have exceptional services in promoting sport. “The IOC appreciates the personal attitude and important contribution of Robert Kocharian in advancing mass sport in Armenia,” V. Smirnov said.
