NINO BURJANADZE RULES OUT OPPORTUNITY OF PLACING US MILITARY BASES IN GEORGIA

Acting president of Georgia Nino Burjanadze rules out the opportunity of placing US military bases in the territory of Georgia in the future. “Georgia demands Russian military bases to be withdrawn from its territory and is not going to give an opportunity for another state to place its bases after their leaving the country,” N. Burjanadze told journalists today. In her words, the issue of possible location of American bases in Georgia “was not raised and was not considered,” “Interfax” agency reported.
