FOR ARMENIA “DOORS” TO REHABILITATION OF IRAQ NOT TOTALLY CLOSED, ARMENIAN FOREIGN MINISTRY SPOKESMAN CONSIDERS

The leaving out of Armenia from the list of countries aspiring to participate in the initial stage of the post-war rehabilitation of Iraq did not close the “doors” to that process on the whole, press secretary of the Armenian foreign ministry Hamlet Gasparian told “Mediamax” agency. “The current contest refers to initial contracts, and the probability to win them is very small even for many countries included in the list. Armenian companies will have the opportunity to conclude other profitable contracts as subcontractors in the future. Thereupon, corresponding work is being carried out with the American party and we hope for it to have positive outcomes,” H. Gasparian said. The US government allowed the countries, which in their time unconditionally supported the US stand in the solution of the Iraqi crisis and became part of the coalition, to participate in the initial rehabilitation works, the Armenian foreign ministry spokesman noted.
