GEORGIAN LEADERSHIP WISHES TO LIMIT FUNCTIONS OF LOCAL SELF-GOVERNMENT BODIES

The changes into the Law on local self-government introduced for discussion of the Georgian Parliament represent an attempt to limit the activities of local government bodies. As reported by “A-Info” agency, the fact that in compliance with the changes proposed the Georgian President can appoint people not being members of regional self-government for the post of regional head, is the most relevant evidence of it.
