MONUMENT TO HEYDAR ALIYEV TO BE ERECTED IN BAKU

Azerbaijani parliament came to the decision to erect a monument to country’s ex-President Heydar Aliyev in the center of Baku. To note, the first monument to Aliyev senior was built in Nakhichevan still during his life. The Azeri deputies also approved the initiative of the Central bank on issuing national currency with the image of H. Aliyev. 100-thousand banknotes are to be printed at the earliest possible date. Let us note that 100 000 manats are equal to approximately $20 US.
