INCUMBENT AZERI LEADER TO PURSUE HEYDAR ALIYEV’S POLICY

The death of ex-President Heydar Aliyev will not lead to any considerable changed within the top authorities of the country, for his son and successor Ilham Aliyev will try to pursue his father’s policy, chairman of the Armenian parliamentary commission for defense issues, national security and home affairs Mher Shahgeldian told Arminfo agency. In his words, Azerbaijan’s political structure is rather individualistic and the President’s role is endowed with special importance. At present Armenia concerns over one question only – not to hear any militaristic statements from Azerbaijan, the head of the parliamentary commission said.
