The supposed dislocation of the US or NATO military bases in Azerbaijan will conflict with the friendly relationship established between Moscow and Baku, RF State Duma deputy, chairman of the commission for the international issues of the United Russia party Konstantin Kosachev told ITAR-TASS agency today. At the same time he underscored that “being a sovereign country Azerbaijan possesses exclusive rights to adopt the resolution on the dislocation of foreign bases at its territory”. The appearance of such military bases at the territories adjoining Russia would mean fundamental change of the military-political situation for Russia, and consequently cause extra concern. In this case Russia will have to undertake reply measures on strengthening its frontiers with Azerbaijan by consolidation of its military grouping in Dagestan.
