Mikhail Saakashvili, the united nominee for the Georgian President representing National Movement and Burdzhanadze-Democrats ruling blocs spoke today in favor of dual nationality for Georgian citizens. During the meeting with the businessmen in Tbilisi he stated that “the introduction of dual citizenship will allow to keep in Georgia hundreds of thousands of people, who in the course of the recent 10 years had to leave the fatherland in search of a job”. In his words, the absence of the institution of dual nationality caused lots of problems for Georgian citizens and for the whole country in general, ITAR-TASS agency reports.
