The Venetian Commission of the Council of Europe will discuss the Armenian and Georgian electoral legislation during its sitting with expanded membership to be held December 12-13. Member of the Venetian Commission, chairman of the RA Constitutional Court Gagik Harutyunian will represent Armenia at the sitting. According to the report by the CE press service, chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Peter Schieder and head of the European Court of Human Rights Luzius Wildhaber will take part in the sitting. It should be noted that being a body of the Council of Europe, rendering technical assistance to the CE member-countries for the formation of the national legislative base, the commission earlier proposed its service for Nagorno Karabakh’s status determination.
