CAUCASIAN PEOPLES’ FORUM TO BE HELD IN SOUTH OF RUSSIA

A forum of the peoples of the Caucasus will be held in the South of Russia February 2004. In the words of deputy to the Russian President’s plenipotentiary representative in the Southern Federal Okrug Nikolay Sleptsov, the Caucasian security issues as well as the relations with the neighbor countries are to be discussed at the forum. He explained that the matter concerned Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan neighboring with Russia. The leaders of the Russian South Caucasian Okrug will also take part in the forum. N. Sleptsov reminded that it was supposed to conduct the forum a couple of years ago, however it had been cancelled by some reasons.
