US CONGRESS LOWER HOUSE APPROVED ASSISTANCE TO ARMENIA AMOUNTING IN “NO LESS $75 MILLION FOR 2004

Yesterday the House of Representatives approved the Omnibus Bill for Fiscal Year 2004, which provides “not less than” $75 million assistance to Armenia. The bill also calls for $2.5 million for the Military Financing and $900,000 for International Military Education and Training. As reported by the Armenian Assembly of America, in accordance with the bill an additional $5 million will be rendered as humanitarian assistance to Nagorno Karabakh. The bill is awaiting voting in the Senate.
