Permanent representative of Azerbaijan to the UN Yashar Aliyev has addressed the organization Security Council a letter on the 10-th anniversary of the UN passing a resolution on territorial integrity of his republic. As reported by “Central Asian News,” to show the damage caused to Azerbaijan due to “seizure of its lands” Y. Aliyev enclosed a list of material losses with the letter. “700 hospitals, 150 000 houses, 927 libraries, 6 theaters, 368 clubs, 6000 manufacturing firms, 1200 km of irrigation system, 800 km of roads, 160 bridges are destroyed in 6 towns, 12 urban villages, 830 villages seized. 244 thousand sheep and 69 thousand heads of cattle were stolen,” the attachment says. It also contains data on losses of pasturelands, deposits and causing enormous harm to the environment of the territories occupied.
