Greco-Roman wrestler, European champion Roman Amoyan, who was named best Armenian sportsman of 2011, thanked all sports journalists who voted for him.
“I learned the news in Tsaghkadzor, during the final gathering of the national team. I’ll to do my best to justify this title. Each sportsman dreams of being named best in his country,” Amoyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.
He said he hopes to perform decently in 2012 and qualify for London Olympics.
“I don’t like to give promises but I will spare no effort to reach new heights. Let’s see how it goes,” Amoyan said.
