An Armenian-Romanian business forum opened today in Bucharest within the framework of the formal visit of the Armenian delegation headed by President Robert Kocharian to Romania. As reported by Romanian sources, the forum is to establish direct dialogue between the businessmen of the two counties with the objective to activate bilateral economic cooperation. As Romanian leader Ion Iliescu stated at the press conference today, insufficient development of the transport ties hinders the rate of the cooperation. “In this connection Romania intends to activate Constanza-Batumi-Poti ferry line”, – he noted. Armenian President in his turn told the journalists that he and his Romanian associate agreed upon attaching the activity of the chambers of commerce of the two countries to the economic cooperation. In Robert Kocharian’s words, Armenian Development Agency dealing with these very issues, will be as well involved in this cooperation.
