ARMENIAN PATRIARCH IN TURKEY ROUNDLY DENOUNCED ACT OF TERRORISM IN ISTANBUL

Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople and of All Turkey Archbishop Mesrop Mutafian roundly denounced the explosions at the Istanbul synagogues set off by Turkish islamists last Saturday. To note, Israeli foreign minister Silvan Shalom arrived in Turkey the other day because of the act of terrorism committed. As reported by Turkish mass media, he proposed to render Israeli special services’ assistance to Ankara in the investigation of the incident. It should be reminded that 20 people were killed and about 300 wounded, 77 of them being in hospitals still. Four persons, detained on suspicion of the organization of the terrorist act, were released later.
