Today Armenian foreign minister Vardan Oskanian refuted the rumors that Georgian President Eduard Shevarnadze appealed to the Armenian leadership for help to resolve the complicated internal political situation created in Georgia. As reported by RIA “Novosti”, Vardan Oskanian, who is on visit to Moscow at present, stated them as rumors and explained that the telephone conversation of the Presidents of the two countries as well as the visit of Adzharia’s leader Aslan Abashidze were dictated “by the wish to get information about the situation in Georgia”.
