Yesterday head of the Adjarian Autonomy of Georgia Aslan Abashidze paid a short visit to Yerevan and met with president of Armenia Robert Kocharian. In the course of the meeting issues referring to the situation created in Georgia after the parliamentary election were discussed. Opportunities of advancement of Armenian-Georgian ties, specifically, realizing joint economic programs between Armenia and Adjaria were also considered. The parties also touched upon issues relating to the life of Armenians in Adjaria. From Yerevan Aslan Abashidze left for Baku to meet with Ilham Aliyev.
