An Armenian-Iranian joint enterprise will start cigarette production in Iran before the end of the current year, Mikael Vardanian, director of “International Masis Tabac” company that is a part of the Grand-Holding, stated. In his words, the production will be made both out of Armenian and Iranian raw materials and realized not only in Iran but also in the other countries of the region. According to the source, about $1,5 million was invested in the enterprise, however the final share account is still to be made. The preliminary productive capacity of the plant is 1 billion cigarettes per year, M. Vardanian informed.
