Today International Monetary Fund executive director Horst Koehler and Armenian Prime Minister Andranik Margarian discussed the issue of the blockade imposed by Turkey toward Armenia. According to the report of the Armenian government’s press office, Horst Koehler expressed his concern over this fact, calling it “unnatural and not encouraged by the IMF”. He stated that upon his arrival to Washington he will discuss the matter with the Turkish representative in the IMF. As in his turn Andranik Margarian stated, but for the blockade imposed by Turkey, Armenia’s economic index as well as its development rate would be more impressive.
