US-ARMENIAN WORKING GROUP FOR ECONOMIC COOPERATION CONVENES IN WASHINGTON

To participate in the recurrent 7-th meeting of the Armenian-American working group for economic cooperation a delegation of Armenia headed by minister of finance and economy Vardan Khachatrian is in Washington. The principal advisor of the Armenian president for economic issues, minister of trade and economic development, chairman of the Central Bank, head of the state customs committee serve on the delegation. As the press service of the ministry of finance and economy of Armenia told “Arminfo” agency, representatives of the governments of the two countries will consider the course of works, being executed within the framework of the US assistance to Armenia in promoting economic growth, reforming the social and energy spheres, struggle against corruption, as well as issues relating to Armenia’s membership in the World Trade Organization. Questions referring to agriculture, small- and medium-scale business, customs and tax areas of Armenia will also be discussed.
