TERMS OF AZERBAIJAN’S PRESIDING IN BSECO PROLONGED DUE TO BULGARIA’S BEING OVERLOADED

Azerbaijan will continue presiding in the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization within the next six months. In accordance with the regulations, in the first half year of 2004 the chairmanship in the BSECO in alphabetical order had to be undertaken by Bulgaria. The latter, however, refused from the presidency alleging overloadness on the grounds of chairmanship in the OSCE. For no other country was ready to preside in the BSECO, it was decided that Azerbaijan’s chairmanship will be prolonged.
