ARMENIA PARTICIPATION IN OBSEC SITTING IN BAKU MERELY POLITICAL STEP, ARMENIAN DEPUTY FOREIGN MINISTER SAID

The participation of Armenia in the sitting of the foreign ministers of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, to be held October 31 in Baku, will be of merely political nature, the delegation head, deputy foreign minister of Armenia Ruben Shugarian told “Arminfo” agency. In his words, the Armenian delegation is not going to make any proposals at the OBSEC meeting. Meanwhile, as reported by Baku sources, the Azerbaijani Organization for Liberation of Karabakh (OLK) intends to hold actions of protest against the arrival of the Armenian delegation in Baku. The OLK considers that the arrival of Armenians will “insult the memory of Shahids, who struggled against seizure of the Azeri lands.” In the opinion of “liberators of Karabakh,” such visits are contrary to the interests of the Azeri people.” They demanded that the foreign ministry undertake “categorical steps not to admit the Armenian delegation coming to Baku.”
