Levon Aronian hopes to keep lead at Tata Steel

After the 10th round of the 74th Tata Steel Chess Tournament in Wijk aan Zee, Netherlands, Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian tops the standings with 7,5 points.

“I think Anish Giri might have performed a better game. He made a couple of wrong moves, giving me an opportunity to win the game. On the whole, I’m rather satisfied with my performance and hopefully will continue on the same lines,” chess-news quoted Aronian as saying.

On January 27, in the 11 round of the tournament Armenian grandmaster will face off against David Navara, who comes 14th with 2,5 points.
