On account of the mass disorders taken place in Baku October 15-16, criminal cases against 62 people have been initiated, Azeri Ministry of Internal Affairs press office head Sadig Gezalov told journalists. In his words, about 400 people were taken into custody in the administrative order, over 50 of them were arrested. Gezalov noted that as the result of the disorders 110 members of the law enforcement bodies suffered, 63 of them undergoing treatment in hospitals. Among the participants of the collisions there is one killed and over 30 wounded. The MIA head emphasized that the investigation is being carried out and “all the organizers of the illegal actions and the persons calling to violence will be punished”. It was as well noted that criminal cases against Musavat party leader Isa Gambar and his deputy Rauf Arifoglu have not been instituted yet. “We collect extra data and facts on this matter”, – the representative of the Azeri Office of the Public Prosecutor told journalists.
