Armenia attentively watches the developments in Azerbaijan, Armenian FM Vardan Oskanian stated today. Armenia expects that the internal political situation created in Azerbaijan will be stabilized within the limits of the possible, he said. At the same time V. Oskanian refrained from giving any assessment of the presidential election in Azerbaijan, noting that Yerevan is aware of the OSCE preliminary conclusion and the statement of the Central Election Commission regarding the election of Ilham Aliyev president of Azerbaijan. The Armenian FMA head stated that “Armenia will work with Ilham Aliyev at the issue of Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement”. Answering the journalists’ questions, V. Oskanian expressed doubt that Armenian president will congratulate Ilham Aliyev with the election. “There is not such a tradition between our countries”, – he said.
