The acts of disobedience accompanied by pogroms and bloody collisions with the law and order bodies taking place in Baku were sponsored by leader of the opposition Democratic Party head Rasul Guliyev. To remind, the Central Election Commission refused to register Rasul Guliyev as a presidential contender at the threshold of the election explaining it by the fact that “he is accused of committing a number of grave crimes on the territory of Azerbaijan”.
