In the 8th round of the Gibraltar Chess Festival Armenia’s Sergei Movsesian and Gabriel Sargissian tied games vs. Geetha Narayanan Gopal and Lela Javakhishvili respectively.
Movsesian currently comes 8th with 6 points, falling only 0,5 point behind the leader Hou Yifan; while Sargissian is 44th with 5 points.
Meanwhile, Varuzhan Akobian (U.S.) beat Felipe de Cresce El Debs (Brazil) to gain the 14th place with 6 points.
