PROTEST NOTE PRESENTED TO IRANIAN AMBASSADOR IN BAKU

Today a protest note was presented to Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan Ahad Gazzai at the Azeri foreign ministry. The fact that October 14 a special broadcast on the Iranian state TV channel “Seher-2” covering the presidential election in Azerbaijan was fully devoted to one of the presidential contenders – leader of “Musavat” party Isa Hambar, caused it, “Mediamax” agency reported. As stated by the Azeri foreign ministry, taking into account that “Seher-2” is being broadcast in Azeri regions neighboring Iran, such agitation is taken as “interference into internal affairs of Azerbaijan.” Such a move, in the opinion of official Baku, “is contrary to norms of the international law.”
