Two members of “Muasir Musavat” Azeri party yesterday attempted to commit an act of self-immolation against the building of the Central Electoral Commission of Azerbaijan. The attempted suicide did not succeed and the party representatives, who got burns, were conveyed to a hospital, “Interfax” agency reported. By that “Muasir Musavat” party members were demanding to recognize void the registration of “Musavat” party leader Isa Hambar as a presidential candidate, the Baku police reported. Being chairman of the parliament of Azerbaijan in 1992 and at the same time temporarily fulfilling the functions of the country president, Isa Hambar refused forgiveness to 7 people sentenced to death by shooting.
