In the course of a meeting in Moscow speaker of the Council of Federation of Russia Sergey Mironov and chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Armen Khachatrian discussed problems of the post-war situation in Iraq. As reported by “Novosti” Russian information agency, ecological consequences of the war in Iraq were also concerned. As S. Mironov told journalists after the meeting, the coming parliamentary election in Armenia was discussed at the meeting. In his words, the Russian party “was invited to observe the election.”
